Food Safety Seminar

Our next branch event for 2011 will take the form of a half-day food safety seminar. We are fortunate to have two eminent international speakers in Durban who have agreed to make time to address the KZN Branch while in Durban for a RPMASA conference and food safety training. They have put together a fascinating program for us that looks both diverse and practical in content.

They are Dr Herman Koeter, Managing Director of The Orange House Partnership, who held senior positions with the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) from 2003 - 2008; and Dr Iona Pratt, a consulting toxicologist and risk assessor, having retired from a senior post with the Food Safety Authority of Ireland.

We are pleased to be collaborating with the FoodBev SETA who have kindly sponsored the cost of the venue and refreshments for this meeting.
