Food Fraud Workshop

Dear Members,

Warning - only one week to go for the SAAFoST-IUFoST one-day Food Fraud Workshop!

Don't miss a programme that is bursting with interesting invited speakers and that includes a wide range of unique presentations featuring knowledge, techniques, policies and experiences from South Africa and around the world. This one-of-a kind workshop is sure to change the way you think about food fraud and will serve as a timely reminder of the extremely important role that food science and related professionals have to play in pre-empting, recognising and addressing it.

The latest, and expected to be final, programme follows at the foot of this circular. A special word of thanks is due to the International Union of Food Science and Technology (IUFoST) for making the CEO of the Food Safety Authority of Ireland, Dr Pamela Byrne available to us. We are also indebted to Kerry Taste and Nutrition for going the extra mile to participate in the workshop from wherever in the world Adrian Sharpe and Ann Marie Carillo may happen to be in the endless pursuit of securing global supply quality, possibly Malaysia. Foodpath has very kindly offered to sponsor the traffic calming and networking cocktail after the Workshop, which will be a lovely and noisy end to a very busy and rewarding day.

Further information, including registration and payment details, follows - as usual, SAAFoST offers twice the value at half the price but what else would you expect from an event organised for the professionals by the professionals?

With kind regards,

Virosha Basdeo
