SAAFoST Northern Branch: Avian Flu panel discussion
Tuesday, 17 April 2018
Dear Northern Branch members,

Even though Listeriosis is still on everybody's mind, we would like to invite you to another important discussion, this time on the effects of Avian flu in the South African food industry. At the end of June 2017 Minister Senzeni Zokwna released a statement on the AI outbreak in SA. Previously, DAFF alerted poultry farmers to the imminent threat of Avian Influenza when the highly contagious strain was confirmed in Zimbabwe, the third African country to be affected. In SA the outbreaks occurred in Mpumalanga. Join us to learn all about AI and the effect it has from two experienced and knowledgeable speakers who are involved in the poultry industry.

Regards,

Ingrid Woodrow
